About
My research interests encompass 20th and 21st century German-language literature, feminist literary theory and cultural studies. My doctoral research used feminist and postcolonial theory to shed light on the work of the Swiss writer Robert Walser (1878-1956). More recent research projects concentrate on contemporary literature, with a particular focus on German-speaking Swiss writers and women writers. I also have on-going research interests on representations of motherhood in German literature and culture. I am spending the current academic year in Mexico City, undertaking research on the German-speaking exile in Mexico during the Second World War.
